Arizona, Phoenix, Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport – IWA   The modernization consists of updating and expanding the existing terminal to replace the temporary 4-gate facility with a permanent 5-gate. Arkansas, Fayetteville/ Springdale/ Rogers, Northwest Arkansas National Airport – XNA       Funding will support significant upgrades to increase energy efficiency and infrastructure for individuals with access and functional needs. Colorado, Durango, Durango-La Plata County Airport – DRO   The grant funds the first phase of the terminal rehabilitation program. Connecticut, Windsor Locks, Bradley International Airport – BDL        February 28, 2023 the Biden Administration announced a grant of $5 million to Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, CT: This award funds a portion of a terminal expansion project at the airport, including a new in-line checked baggage system and control room, expanded passenger hold rooms, new airline gate space and other modifications for the efficient movement of passengers and baggage. https://www.transportation.gov/briefing-room/biden-harris-administration-announces-nearly-1b-bipartisan-infrastructure-law-airport This grant is in addition to the initial funding grant announced in 2022 for the existing checked baggage inspection system (CBIS) is located in the ticket counter area which limits capacity, creates passenger congestion and delays. Florida, Gainesville, Gainesville Regional Airport – GNV      Improvements to the Multi-modal Ground Transport Facility include updated lighted, accessible, covered walkways to the commercial airline terminal, a covered passenger waiting area, accessible restrooms, and queuing lanes for taxis and city buses arriving and departing the terminal. Florida, Key West, Key West International Airport – EYW February 28, 2023 the Biden Administration announced a grant of $13.3 million to Key West International Airport in Key West, FLhis award funds 20,000 square feet of renovations to the existing airside terminal building to expand the baggage claim and passenger security-screening checkpoint. It also funds a portion of a project to construct a new 48,800 square foot Concourse A immediately north of the existing airside terminal building. Florida, Orlando, Orlando International Airport – MCO      The South Terminal C expansion includes the addition of 4 gates with 8 loading bridges to the terminal facility. Florida, Sarasota/Bradenton, Sarasota Bradenton International Airport – SRQ   A new Concourse Ground Boarding Facility will be constructed. The new Concourse A Ground Boarding Facility will add five new gates and hold rooms, add four security checkpoint lanes, and replace the existing two-chiller Central Energy Plant (CEP). Funding will also be used to improve the existing Concourse B. Improvements will include expanding holdrooms, adding escalators, modifying gate entrances, and upgrading power and communications equipment. Georgia, Atlanta, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport – ATL      This project will update and modernize the 40-year-old Concourse D. The rehabilitation project also includes enlarging hold rooms, restrooms, and the central corridor. Georgia, Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport – SAV February 28, 2023 The Biden Administration announced they are are awarding $6.5 million to Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport in Savannah, Ga.: The security screening checkpoint expansion project consists of adding 23,000 square feet to the south side of the terminal building. Hawaii, Honolulu, Daniel K. Inoue International Airport – HNL        The terminal roadways will be reconfigured and repaved. In addition, select updates to the drainage and lighting on select terminal floors of the Ewa and Diamond Head Concourses will be made. Idaho, Boise, Boise Airport – BOI         Improvements to the terminal building include replacing the aging boiler with a newer more energy efficient boiler. Illinois, Chicago , O’Hare International Airport – ORD February 28, 2023 The Biden Administration announced a grant of “$50 million to O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, Ill.: This award helps fund a project to rehabilitate and expand passenger access for the 60-year-old Terminal 3. Illinois, Peoria, General Wayne A. Downing Peoria International Airport – PIA         The existing Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) is over 60 years old and does not meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. The construction of a new tower will meet all current building codes including ADA requirements to provide a safe working environment for all employees. Louisiana, New Orleans, Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, Kenner, LA February 28, 2023 the Biden Administration announced a grant of $8 million to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport in Kenner, LA: This award helps fund the site preparation work and construction of a road between the north terminal and south campus parking and rental car facilities. Massachusetts, Boston, General Edward Lawrence Logan International Airport – BOS        Airport Terminal Program – 2022 The pavement for the roadways have begun showing signs of deterioration. The grants will allow for the replacement of the aging infrastructure. Renovations to Terminal E include replacing the HVAC system, expanding the baggage claim area to accommodate gate expansions, and rehabilitating the existing ticket counter area, gates and jet bridges. Michigan, Detroit, Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport – DTW      Airport Terminal Program – 2022 Funding will allow for the replacement of the passenger boarding bridges that improve energy efficiency and enhance accessibility for individuals with access and functional needs. Existing public restrooms throughout the airport will be updated to enhance accessibility for individuals with access and functional needs. The restroom upgrades will also include the addition of gender inclusive restrooms. All restroom fixtures will be replaced with energy efficient fixtures.
